10 - Teddy And Co.

Teddy & Co. Paperback

This is an absolutely adorable story about a group of toys who love to explore the world. I loved how Teddy was always lost in his philosophical thoughts, and Umpah the elephant was a grand baker. When several new toys join the group, Mr. B the rabbit with a frilly collar, and a doll who wants to be a queen, the others find they take a bit of getting used to. This is one of those books that I actually think works better as a read aloud than an independent read and it struck me as a sort of modern Winnie-the-Pooh.

15 - Diary Of A Wimpy Kid

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

One of the most popular book series ever, The Diary of a Wimpy Kid, shares the hilarious story of Greg in his own words and drawings. Life in middle school is not easy. 16 - Here's Hank, Bookmarks Are People Too

Bookmarks Are People Too! #1 (Here's Hank)

Hank’s brain freezes up when he talks to people — and also when he tries out for his class play. That’s why he gets the bookmark role. But, when the lead actor flubs his lines, Hank jumps in to save the play from disaster. I love Hank’s relatable character to whom learning doesn’t come easily.

17 - The Year Of The Book

The Year of the Book

Growing up is challenging and in the first novel, The Year of the Book, Anna turns to books for company while she learns how to make friendships in real life. The subsequent books in the series are just as realistic and well-written. I highly recommend this series!
